SAP’s new CX (customer experience) strategy presented during the virtual SAP CX Live event revolves around the launch of the SAP Customer Data Platform (CDP), which aims at enabling customers to gather relevant customer data across all available touchpoints – from sales through marketing and commerce to service – to improve experiences. Even though not enough light has been shed on this topic, the market for customer data platforms is a very crowded and competitive area, with all the leading software providers (Adobe, Oracle, etc.) offering such platforms to their customers.
