Figure of the day: IT budget - CxO survey - manufacturing

It is remarkable that even during the pandemic in 2020, the local IT budgets of many manufacturing companies (27% of respondents of the CxO Investment Survey) slightly increased compared to 2019.
However, this was mainly driven by companies with more than 100 employees, while smaller companies (fewer than 100 employees) much more often experienced a considerable or strong decrease.

More manufacturing companies in the US see the current crisis as an opportunity than companies from the rest of the world. This is underscored by the fact that mor US-based manufacturing companies increased their local T budgets considerably (22%) or strongly (14%) than in any other region of the world.
