IBM Japan recently announced it has signed agreements with the Chiba Bank, the Daishi Bank, and the Hokkoku Bank to build a Call Center System common for the three banks. The agreement was signed as part of the TSUBASA project to examine the system integration between Chiba Bank, Daishi Bank, Hokkoku Bank, the Chuugoku Bank and The Iyo Bank. This initiative is expected to create new value through open cooperation across multiple regions and has been named the TSUBASA project, after the Japanese word for "wing." Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
